On the sign:

Translation of the text on the sign:

Madar Post
Named after the Madar family who lived in this place during the War of Independence.
The compound served as a front post for the defense of the settlement, in front of the barrels of the Jabalya Arabs, who were at a distance close to the family home.

The defenders of the position prevented the conquest of the settlement, thanks to their steadfast stand, heroism and courage behind the walls of the post.

1997
Bat Yam municipality
