המחרשה תחילה נגררה על ידי בהמת משא (סוס, חמור או פר) וכשמנוע הבנזין הגיח לעולם, החליפו הטרקטורים את הבהמות. המחרשה נוצרה ככל הנראה בסוף המאה ה 19.

Made by Howard in Bedford, England.
The plow was first towed by a beast of burden (horse, donkey or bull) and when the petrol engine emerged into the world, the tractors replaced the animals. The plow was probably created in the late 19th century.
