גלית ארביב, בת שרה ועמי, אחות לאלירן, נולדה בקריית ביאליק ב -10.03.1981 כשהייתה בת 4 עברה עם משפחתה לנשר. ולמדה בבית ספר היסודי בית יהושע ובתיכון מקיף נשר. אהבה אמנות ובלטה כפעילה חברתית במד"צים ובמסגרות נוספות של המתנ"ס.
שירתה כלוחמת במג"ב ולאחר שיחרורה הצטרפה למשטרת ישראל ושירתה בתחנת "שאפט" בירושלים.
בשנת 2002 במהלך חג פורים, הייתה גלית במשמרת כשלפתע שמעה יריות. היא וחבריה לסיור הבחינו במחבל שחדר לשכונת נווה יעקב וירה לכל עבר. גלית זינקה מכלי הרכב, הסתערה לעבר המחבל. תוך כדי שהיא יורה לעברו גלית הצליחה לפגוע במחבל, אך נפגעה מיריותיו ונהרגה.
על גבורתה, חירוף הנפש ואומץ ליבה הוענק לה עיטור האומץ של משטרת ישראל.

Galit Arbiv, daughter of Sara and Ami, sister of Eliran, was born in Kiryat Bialik on March 10, 1981, when she was 4 years old and moved with her family to Nesher. And attended Beit Yehoshua Elementary School and Nesher Comprehensive High School. She loved art and stood out as a social activist in the community centers and other settings of the community center.
She served as a Border Patrol fighter and after her release joined the Israel Police and served at the Shaft station in Jerusalem.
In 2002 during Purim, Galit was on duty when she suddenly heard gunshots. She and her friends on the tour noticed a terrorist who had infiltrated the Neve Ya’akov neighborhood and fired in all directions. Galit jumped out of the vehicle, stormed towards the terrorist. While firing at him, Galit managed to hit the terrorist, but was hit by his shots and killed.
For her heroism, sharpness of heart and courage, she was awarded the Medal of Courage by the Israel Police.
