A sign belonging to the "Photograph in Stone" series. In this series, which is located mainly in the center of Jerusalem, historical buildings, prominent figures in the citys history and more are commemorated.
Until the Six Day War, the armistice agreements with Jordan ruled out bringing heavy weapons into Jerusalem, and flying fighter jets over the city. In light of this, the IDF marches that took place during the Independence Day in Jerusalem were minor. After the Six Day War, these restrictions were lifted, and the first parade that marched after the war was large in scope, and for the residents of Jerusalem "huge."
After this parade, the annual parades were canceled, and only the last parade took place in 1973 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the State of Israel.
