פיזיקאי אמריקני ממוצא יהודי ומודד מהירות האור.
זוכה בפרס נובל לפיזיקה בשנת 1907, ממציא אינטרפרומטר שנקרא על שמו "אינטרפרומטר מייקלסון" שהוכיח שמהירות האור אינה תלויה במערכת הייחוס שבה היא נמדדת - תגלית שהובילה לפיתוח תורת היחסות הפרטית.

ALBERT ABRAHAM MICHELSON
IS AN AMERICAN PHYSICIST OF A JEWISH ORIGIN KNOWN FOR HIS WORK ON THE MEASUREMENT OF THE SPEED OF LIGHT. IN 1907 HE INVENTED THE INTERFEROMETER THAT WAS NAMED AFTER HIS NAME "INTERFEROMETER MICHELSON". THIS INVENTION PROVED THAT THE SPEED OF THE LIGHT IS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE FRAME OF REFERENCE IN WHICH IT IS MEASURED, WHICH LEADED TO DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPECIAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY (STR)
