מקווה
מבנה המקווה שהוקם עבור התושבים מעולם לא שימש כמקווה, אלא כמקום להגעלת כלים. תהליך ההגעלה נעשה באמצעות דודי מים שהועמדו על גל אבנים ומתחתיו דלקה אש. בעת רתיחת המים, התושבים טבלו בהם את הכלים. פעולה זו הייתה חשובה במיוחד לקראת הכשרת הכלים לחג הפסח.

Mikveh
The mikveh building that was erected for the residents was never used as a mikveh, but as a place for washing dishes. The process of Hagalah was done by means of water boilers placed on a pile of stones and under which fire was lit. While the water was boiling, the residents dipped the dishes in it. This action was especially important in preparation for the preparation of the tools for Passover.
