Comments:
One of the bronze plaques erected on Park Ave in Manhattan by artist Greg Le Fabre and depicting historic buildings in the area. The plaques were laid in 1996

On the plaque is a skyscraper called today the MetLife Building and formerly called the Pan Am Building. This is a 58-story skyscraper built for Pan American Airlines. On the plaque you can see the company logo that was on the roof of the house (today the name of the insurance company Metropolitan Life is in its place).
The clock and the statue above it that appear in the front of the picture (Glory of Commerce), belong to the front of the Grand Central station next to the building and from this angle the sign was designed

Further expansion on the project can be found in one of the plaques Click for sign's details
