טקס הקמת כפר ידידיה
כפר ידידיה הוקם בשנת 1935 על קרקע שנרכשה על-ידי יהודי אלכסנדריה, לקליטת עולים יהודים מגרמניה. ידידיה הוא שמו העברי של פילון האלכסנדרוני, פילוסוף יהודי נודע, שחי אלכסנדריה במאה הראשונה לספירה, ועל כן ביקשו יהודי אלכסנדריה לקרוא את היישוב על שמו "כפר ידידיה".
בתמונה למעלה: ועד קהילת יהודי אלכסנדריה שבאו לחגוג עם המתיישבים את הקמתו של כפר ידידיה, ב-8 באפריל 1935.

Establishment Ceremony of Kfar Yedidia
Kfar Yedidia was established in 1935 on land purchased by the Jews of Alexandria, for the absorption of Jewish immigrants from Germany. Yedidia is the Hebrew name of Philo the Alexandrian, a well-known Jewish philosopher who lived in Alexandria in the first century AD, and therefore the Jews of Alexandria wanted to name the settlement "Kfar Yedidia ".
