The House of Culture The House of Culture was built in 1943, and was intended to serve as a place for cultural activities. On Saturdays and holidays, it served as a synagogue and in the evenings movies were shown there. The building was erected with the donation of Israel Barber, in memory of his late wife Pnina, who died in her youth. Later, after the establishment of the House of the People, in 1956, the house served as a youth club and library, and in 1976 the club was established for the old member.
