Bialik School
The building was constructed in 1935, the first school in the settlement that had been founded in 1930. The school was comprised of three classes and a nursery school, with an enrollment of 40 children from the settlement. Emphasis was placed on Jewish Israeli culture, and agricultural and nutritional studies were also conducted.
The building, situated at the top of a hill, included a three storey tower, called by the children "The Bird’s Nest." The tower was used by security forces for communication with illegal ships and the surrounding settlements.
Training by the various underground movements took place in the school. A cave in the school was used as a hiding place for weapons.
