President Andrew Jackson - Seventh President of the United States and twice elected President (1829-1837) died at the age of 78 on June 8, 1845 in Nashville, Tennessee and was buried in Hermitage in this city. A funeral service in memory of him took place on June 24, 1845 in New York, and passed through Union Square.
