Point number 20 in the history of Gedera as depicted on the wall at the southern entrance of the town.

The orchard was planted by Zvi Gedaliah (along with the Arkin family), and in order to dig a cistern, he needed funding from his sister-in-law, Batya Menuchin, who demanded a partnership in the orchard.
