משרדי התעורכה והדואר וביתן עיר המודיעין נבנו במרכז התערוכה ושימשו מקור תקשורת ומידע מוסמך למבקרים ולתיירים מחוץ לארץ, שפקדו את יריד המזרח בשנת 1934. יריד המזרח נפתח -26 באפריל 1934 ולווה בטקס מרשים במעמד ראש העירייה הראשון של תל-אביב - יפו, מאיר דיזנגוף והנציב העליון ארתור ווקופ. יריד 1934 היה השישי בתל-אביב. היריד נחל הצלחה בלתי רגילה ונחשב ליריד הרביעי בגודלו בעולם. הוא נמשך כחודש וחצי, ומספר המבקרים בו נאמד בכ-600 אלף איש, פי שלושה מאוכלוסיית היישוב בארץ.

مكاتب المعرض والبريد وجناح مدينة الاستعلامات بنيت في وسط المعرض واستخدمت كمركز اتصال ومعلومات رسمي للزوار والسائحين الأجانب الذين زاروا معرض الشرق سنة ١٩٣٤ . افتتح معرض الشرق يوم ٢٦ نيسان ١٩٣٤ في حفل مهيب حضره رئيس البلدية آنذاك مثير ديزنغوف والمندوب السامي آثر والهوب . كان معرض ١٩٣٤ هو المعرض السادس الذي يعقد في تل أبيب . تكلل المعرض بنجاح مبهر واعتبر المعرض رابع أكبر معرض من نوعه في العالم . امتدت أعماله لمدة شهر ونصف وتجاوز عدد زوار٦٠٠ ألف شخص . أي ثلاثة أضعاف عدد سكان اليشوف اليهودي في البلاد آنذاك .

The Exhibition office, the post office, and the Information City pavilion were built at the center of the exhibition and served as an authorized source of communication and information for overseas tourists and visitors who visited the Levant Fair in 1934. The Levant Fair opened on 26 April 1934 with an impressive ceremony attended by then mayor Meir Dizengoff and High Commissioner Arthur Wauchope. The 1934 fair was the sixth to take place in Tel Aviv. It was an extraordinary success and was considered to be the fourth largest fair in the world. It lasted about a month and a half, and the number of visitors was estimated at about six hundred thousand people, three times the Jewish population of the land of Israel.
