Historical background
The city of Rehovot was established in 1890 by immigrants who were members of the group "Manucha and Nachala" (a settlement society founded in Warsaw, Poland with the aim of settling the Land of Israel)

Rehovot was established as a colony, when among the founders were Aharon Eisenberg
, and Batia Makov
.
In 1906, the settlement committee purchased additional land on which almond orchards were planted. Later in 1933, the construction of residences began in the place, which became the winery neighborhood
, and in 1936 the Miller neighborhood
.
In 1910, Mordechai Makov, son of the founder Batia Makov, built "The Barn House" a grain warehouse where several shops also operated
.
In 1950, Rehovot was declared a city in Israel.
