Historical background
Ramot HaShavim is a cooperative village founded in 1933
The village was founded by Jews who fled from Germany during the fifth immigration
Most of the villagers were engaged in agriculture, even though they arrived without any previous experience. But the Brandeis family set up a hotel, restaurant and cafe
in their house.
In 1934 they established the "El Al" association with the aim of joint marketing of poultry products
In 1939, the Peoples House, a culture house, a synagogue and an office for the village administration were built
About the signs
The signs are made of metal and are on pillars. At the top of each sign appears the symbol of the Ramot HaShavim, a historical image, and text in Hebrew and English
