The English Heritage Trust is a charity that cares for over 400 historical buildings, monuments and other places.
The sign is on the wall of the house where the English writer and journalist Nancy Freeman-Mitford worked, best known for the novels she wrote about high society life in London, as well as for the biographies she wrote about various personalities. The sign is in front of the Heywood Hill bookshop, where Mitford started working, after going through several crises. The store became the center of her world and many literary meetings were held there.
